Parent Advisory Committee

The Parent Advisory Committee helps us to learn the parental perspective in defining key issues of substance abuse and violence in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. In addition to providing valuable input to the staff, committee members learn about key issues in substance abuse and violence prevention and act as liaisons between their school district and Prevention First, so that programs can be designed to fit the individual needs of their school. Prevention First Gala Committee

The Prevention First Gala is Prevention First’s major annual fundraiser. Committee members assist in organizing this elegant evening. Responsibilities include choosing decorations, deciding on entertainment, soliciting journal ads and auction items. Contact Mary Pat Angelini, 732.663.1800 ext. 215.

Office Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to provide support, prepare program materials, direct visitors to the Resource Center and distribute information at special events. Contact Denise Stevens, 732.663.1800 ext. 216.

Clergy Advisory Committee

A key to substance abuse and violence prevention in any community is having broad-based participation from as many sectors of the community as possible. Leaders in faith-based communities around Monmouth and Ocean Counties are represented in our agency's Clergy Advisory Committee. The purpose of this committee is to educate members about the disease of addiction, develop an awareness of Prevention First's programs in the county and to share prevention messages in their faith circle of influence.
